Heartland in Forbes!

Forbes.com Wines for the Weekend featured an article on Gordon Getty, son of oil baron J. Paul Getty Sr. and No. 334 on Forbes’ list of the world’s billionaires. Getty owns two wineries in Napa, PlumpJack and Cade, and could afford any wine he wants, but his top picks suit anyone’s budget.

The article is titled, “Wines a Billionaire Drinks”. Getty surprises by saying that he loves to find great wines that cost around $25-$30. and his current favorite? What to pair with Condrieu?

Perhaps these photos give you some insight into our thoughts?

Many restaurants in Paris have taken to pairing Condrieu with Foie Gras.  The “umami” texture of the Condrieu plays with the richness of the foie gras, and while Condrieu does not have high acid to cut through the fat, something about the way it finishes so bone-rattlingly dry freshens everything up.

Cognac Tesseron on Bloomberg

Cognac Tesseron appeared in a major article this Monday.  Bloomberg wine and spirits writer Elin McCoy goes into the incredible cellars of Cognac Tesseron and is dazzled by what she sees and tastes, most notably Tesseron Extreme – the article is titled, “Crypt Keeper’s $4,000 Cognac Offers Entry to Paradies”. She compares Extreme to Louis XIII, the most recognized Cognac in this super luxury category. McCoy writes, “Remy’s blend is fabulous, but I still give the edge to the sublime Tesseron Extreme.”
