The Grand Jury Européen is a very well-respected and serious blind-tasting organization made up of important trade people throughout the world – members include Michel Bettane (one of the world’s top wine journalists and tasters) and our very own Luciano Sandrone. Just over a year ago (in November of 2008) the GJE held a blind tasting of the top 2004 and 2005 Bolgheri wines. Included were Ornellaia, Guato al Tasso, Sassicaia…all the usual suspects.
