In the Summer 2012 issue of France Magazine, Mas Belles Eaux 2008 Sainte-Helene and Les Coteaux receive a great mention of what is “Trending Now”  by Dorothy Gaiter.  A big movement is the Languedoc’s work towards producing top wines (such as Belles Eaux’s  Sainte-Helene), as well as wines that offer sensational price to quality ratio, such as the  Belles Eaux Les Coteaux 2008 (SRP $20). Gaiter also notes that  Mas Belles Eaux is one of the estates “turning heads”, and points out the excellent Wine Advocate review of Les Coteaux 2008 (91 points)!

Christian Seely, who oversees all the properties owned by AXA (Quinta do Noval, Disznoko, Chateau Pichon Baron, Chateau Suduiraut) writes a great piece on an extensive tasting held at Mas Belles Eaux.  Along with a group that includes Andrew Jefford of Decanter, they looked not only at what Belles Eaux has achieved in its first decade since Christian took it over, but the great progress throughout the Languedoc.  There’s also a great video to check out!

Mas Belles Eaux’s Les Coteaux 2005 was featured in the Washington Examiner‘s recent roundup of terrific values from the Languedoc. According to critic Scott Greenberg:

“A huge blast of blueberry fruit on the nose leads to warm flavors of black fruit and spice on the palate. The firm tannins and ripe fruit allow the wine to be enjoyed young but also provide aging potential.”
