Pinot Noir

One of Marlborough's finest Pinots, the Dog Point Pinot Noir is crushed and fermented in stainless steel before being racked to French oak barrels, 50% new, for 18 months aging on lees. It is produced from Pinot clones (B777,B667, Pommard Clone 5, Abel and AM10/5), planted in the clay soils on the gentle slopes and plots around the winery. The wine is mouth-filling and elegant, with aromas of bright red fruits complemented by floral notes and a subtle, underlying varietal earthy character. Lifted rich fruit and well integrated spicy oak flavors show excellent balance with sweet tannins and a lingering soft finish.
