Bourgogne Blanc

Every year Lucien Le Moine produces a small amount of Bourgogne Rouge and Bourgogne Blanc, blending excellent fruit from the Cote de Beaune, Cote de Nuits and Cote Chalonnaise to reflect the spirit of the vintage as a whole.  These wine are raised in the same manner as the Premier and Grand Crus, for around 24 months in barrel, never racked or filtered, little sulfur, and bottled by hand.  Both the Bourgogne Rouge and Bourgogne Blanc are easily capable of aging for over a decade, and they are perennial favorites for surprising friends and family.  Quantities are, despite the Bourgogne appellation, quite limited, with fewer than 500 bottles coming to the U.S. in a given year.
