The piece centers on Hector Vergara, a Chilean MS, and his role in educating sommeliers at an event recently put on by Wines of Chile – the Wine Bar War. 20 New York sommeliers were tasked with building 8 pop-up wine bars to showcase a select line-up of Chilean wines. Don Maximiano was among the wines selected by sommelier Anna-Lisa Campos from Momofuku Ssäm Bar, whose wine bar ending up winning the competition.
