By far the most comprehensive tasting of Argentine wines in the world, the 9th annual Wines of Argentina event took place on February 13th.  It was entitled “The Empowerment of Women in Wine”, and emphasized the role women play in the wine industry.  The jury was all female, with 18 total judges and 6 Masters of Wine, including Jancis Robinson.

Decero Amano has twice already won the Trophy as Best Premium Red, and incredibly this year the Decero Petit Verdot 2012 won Best Wine from Mendoza and Best Wine from Argentina $30-$50.

The Decero Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 additionally won a Gold Medal in the category of $20-$30 Cabernet.

These accolades certainly speak to the tremendous quality of Decero; we still can’t get over the fact the Petit Verdot outshined all the great Malbec and Cabernet produced in Mendoza – incredible!
