Wine writer Michael Hastings of the Winston-Salem Journal featured Poggio al Tufo Rompicollo and Masseria Surani Heracles 2014 in a recent roundup of wine reviews. Michael notes of the Rompicollo, “This blend of sangiovese and cabernet sauvignon has forests and dried-herb aromas.” Of the Heracles, Michael notes the wine displays “aromas of ripe dark fruit. Sky smooth, with jammy flavors of ripe and sweet dark fruit, with a touch of vanilla, tobacco and licorice.”
