2011 Quinta do Noval Nacional Vintage Port is mentioned in Vinography’s round-up of top Portuguese wines. See below for an excerpt:

“This is arguably the most famous and most expensive Port made in Portugal. Made only a few years in each decade, this wine comes not 100% Touriga Nacional, but from a single small plot in the heart of this producer’s vineyard holdings that carries the name Nacional. This vineyard within a vineyard consists of 120+ year-old vines of several grape varieties (Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cão and Sousão). The parcel is harvested as a unit each year, and then if it meets the standard of “great” set by the Quinta do Noval cellar master, it will be bottled as a vintage Nacional, otherwise, the wine becomes a component of the top wines of the vintage. 2011 was widely regarded as the best Port vintage in decades, and tasting this wine, which arguably represents the apogee of vintage port, it’s hard not to see why. It has a power and a vibrancy that take the breath away.”
