James Suckling released some notes on “Delicious Italian Whites Not to Miss” just before the end of the year. Great notes on Schiopetto as you can see below, especially for the Friulano 2009.
Schiopetto Friulano 2009: 93 Points
What an intense white, with mineral, pear cake and sliced apple character. Full and very flavorful, with lots of fruit and a balance of acidity. Goes on for minutes. Drink now.
Schiopetto Pinot Bianco 2009: 90 Points
Full body, with a mineral and dried apple character with hints of pie crust. Fresh finish. Minerally. Always a favorite Pinot Bianco. Drink now.
Schiopetto Pinot Grigio 2009: 91 Points
Subtle and fruity with mineral and slice peaches. Full to medium body, with pretty acidity and a balanced finish. Serious Pinot Grigio, as always. Drink now.
