The UK’s Harpers Wine & Spirits trade review released an article on the remarkable vertical tasting of the icon wines of Viña Errazuriz that was held in a hotel in Victoria by Hatch Mansfield, a UK distributor. ”The celebrated Chadwick, Sena, Don Maximiano, Kai and La Cumbre brands were all there, making up a dazzling display of heavyweights,” said Geoffrey Dean, Harpers’ blogger. Dean also says “the Chadwick, though, is regarded as Chile’s finest wine”. There were plenty of more great comments on each outstanding wine, to read the full article click here.
Viñedo Chadwick
Viñedo Chadwick is Errazuriz owner Eduardo Chadwick's homage to his father. Eduardo planted a vineyard in front of the house where he grew up, and has worked for the last fifteen years to create one of Chile's greatest wines.
The Viñedo Chadwick vineyard is located in Puente Alto, on the south-east border of Santiago, the capital of Chile, along the northern bank of the Maipo River in the foothills of the Andes Mountains. The 37-acre vineyard was planted in 1992, now 93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc and 4% to Carmenere. The vineyard is managed using sustainable farming practices, and allows for minimal interference through its use of traditional agricultural methods.
