Coachella Valley Weekly featured the Rafael Valpolicella in “Summer Grilling Wines Continued.” Wine writer Rick Riozza notes he is a big Italian wine fan and that his current recommendation is the 2014 Tommasi Rafael Valpolicella Classico Superiore. “It’s a steal at $15!,” he says. Rick notes the aromas and flavors of the Rafael and mentions James Suckling’s score of 91 for the wine, stating “a lovely valpo that is delicate and spicy with a lemon-rind and blueberry chracater; medium body, vibrant fruit and wonderful acidity.
