The crown jewel of Langlois’ Sancerre holdings is at Château de Fontaine-Audon, a 37-acre vineyard from which they produce a single-vineyard Sancerre of the same name. 100% Sauvignon Blanc grown entirely on silex (flint) terroir, Langlois-Chateau’s single-vineyard Sancerre undergoes a gentle pressing, is fermented in stainless steel and then is kept on its lees for 6 months until bottling in April.

VINEYARD

Langlois-Chateau owns and manages 175 acres of the best AOC vineyards in the Loire Valley. The crown jewel of their Sancerre holdings is at Château de Fontaine-Audon, a 37-acre vineyard from which they produce a single-vineyard Sancerre of the same name. This 15 hectares vineyard surrounds one of the rare castles in Sancerre, in St Gemme (north west of the Appellation). Langlois maintains a sustainable approach to vineyard management and holds the “Terra

Reviews

"Impeccably made, versatile Sancerre"

Jeb Dunnuck - "The 2018 Sancerre Château de Fontaine-Audon is a charming, nicely balanced, medium-bodied effort offering pretty white peach and citrus fruits as well as some classic Loire sappy herb and minerality, nicely integrated yet racy acidity and a clean, crisp finish. Drink this impeccably made, versatile Sancerre over the coming 2-4 years."
